Obituary for Suzanne York

Suzanne  York
Suzanne York, a cheerful soul passed away on May 11, 2016. She was born in Upper Darby, PA to John C. and Goldie Fagan. She worked as a travel reservationist at Grand Central Station in Manhattan, NY during the “golden age” of railroad travel in the Forties. She was later employed as a sportswear sales associate for Steinbach’s department store in Asbury Park, NJ. She was President of the Bradley Beach Grammar School PTA for three years. Soon after, she found her true calling as a public librarian, first in Bradley Beach, then Asbury Park, finishing in Neptune City before retiring after nearly 40 years in devoted service to library patrons.
She is survived by three sons, Frank Scott York III and wife Colleen, Jeffrey John York and partner James Gulluscio, and Casey David York and partner Michele Madden. She is also survived by two grandchildren, Casey D. York Jr. and wife Kaylee, Philip Holmes-York, and two great grandsons, Nicholas York and Lucas York.
Visitation hours are Saturday, May 14th from 9AM until 10:30 AM at the O’Brien Funeral Home, Wall. Funeral Mass will follow at 11 AM at St. Rose Church, Belmar, NJ. Private interment.
