Obituary for Rose Andersen (Spilatro)
Howell: Rose Andersen, age 96, passed away on Saturday, September 24, 2016 at Dover General Hospital in Dover, NJ. Born and raised in North Plainfield, Rose resided in Brick for 10 years before moving to Howell for the past 6 years.
Mrs. Andersen worked for many years as a Secretary for Union Carbide in Bound Brook, NJ.
Rose enjoyed quilting, needle point and knitting. She loved to travel, play cards and especially loved to read. She was a member of the Red Hat Club, Kiwanis Club, Senior Citizens Club, Diamond Club and the St. Dominic’s Social Club.
She is predeceased by her first husband, Frank Diamente and her second husband, Walter Andersen, her brother, Frank Jannuzzi and her sister, Elvira Sanderson.
Surviving are her children; Frank Diamente and his wife, Valerie of Howell, Barbara Bacchetta and her husband, Bernard of Denville, her brother, Angelo Spilatro, her grandchildren, Hollie, Jena, Michael and his wife, Anna, Stephanie and Daniel, her four greatgrandchildren, Avaea, Alexio, Adriano and Aviana and many nieces and nephews.
A Memorial Mass will be held on Friday, October 14th at 10:30 a.m. at Holy Family RC Church, Lakewood followed by the inurnment at St. Mary of the Lake Cemetery, Lakewood.
In lieu of flowers memorial contributions can be made to Make a Wish Foundation.
