Obituary for Josephine M Norton (Cifuni )

Josephine M. Norton, age 74, passed away on Thursday, January 26, 2017 at Ocean Medical Center in Brick. She was born and raised in Greenwich Village, New York. During the summer time, she spent her young adult life at New Dorp Beach, Staten Island.

Josephine attended Cathedral High School in New York and then went on to work as a Statistical Secretary on Wall Street.

Mrs. Norton took great pride in caring for her loving family. In her spare time she enjoyed crocheting and was an avid reader.

She is predeceased by her beloved husband, Richard Norton in 1993.

Surviving are her children; Jeffrey Norton and his wife Rosemarie, Mary McKelvey and her husband Tom, Jennifer Mantegna and her husband Nicholas and Barbara Byrnes and her husband Dan; her sister, Frances Giblin and her 12 grandchildren.

Visitation will be held on Sunday, January 29, 2017 from 1-5 p.m. at O’Brien Funeral Home, 505 Burnt Tavern Rd., Brick. A Mass of Resurrection will be held on Monday, January 30th at 9:30 a.m. at Martha’s RC Church in Point Pleasant followed by the interment at Moravian Cemetery on Staten Island.
