William L.  Reilly
William L. Reilly, 87 of Toms River, NJ died Friday, February 3, 2017 at his home surrounded by his loving family. He was born and raised in Jersey City, and an alumni of St. Peter’s Prep and St. Peter’s College. William lived in Brick, NJ before moving to Toms River 13 years ago. He was Battalion Chief for the Jersey City Fire Department until his retirement. He was a member of the Knights of Columbus, Brick, NJ, and a member of Fraternal Order of Firefighters. He liked to play golf, but most loved being with his family. He was a parishioner of Visitation Church, Brick.
William is survived by his beloved wife of 61 years; Geraldine “Geri” Reilly, 6 children: Dr. Bill Reilly and his wife Chris of Lititz, PA, Dr. Ed Reilly and his wife Adina of Asheville, NC, Mary Fox and her husband Peter of Old Bridge, NJ, Bob Reilly and his wife Kerry of Wall, NJ, Pat Geller and her husband Adam of Holmdel, NJ, and Dr. Lori Reilly of Belmar, NJ. He also leaves 11 loving grandchildren; Liam, Brian, Bobby, Claire, Drew, Connor, Kyle, Taylor, Catie, Leia, Allie, a sister-in-law Dee Nagelmeyer, and 2 nephews; Bruce and Thomas.
Visiting will be Friday, February 10, 2017 from 4-8 PM at the O’Brien Funeral Home, 2028 Hwy 35 at New Bedford Rd., Wall. A Funeral Mass will be Saturday, 9:15 AM at Church of St. Catharine, 108 Middletown Road, Holmdel. Burial will follow in Mt. Olivet Cemetery, Middletown, NJ.
