Obituary for Taras Peter "Ted" Hrycyshyn
Taras “Ted” Peter Hrycyshyn, 89, formerly of Belmar, passed away on February 17, 2017 surrounded by the love of his family. Born and raised in Newark, Ted graduated with a Chemistry degree from Columbia University and went on to a successful career, retiring from Amerada Hess Corporation in 1997.
Ted was a former member of the South Belmar Board of Education, the Ukranian American Club in Toms River, Manasquan Elks, and the Old Guard of Point Pleasant. He will be greatly missed by all who knew him.
He leaves Virginia M. “Jean” (nee Burrell) his wife of 43 years, his daughter June Hrycyshyn, stepdaughters Lesley Wiltsee and Denise Shehadeh, and grandchildren John Wiltsee, James Wiltsee, and Kristina Shehadeh.
Memorial Visitation will be at O’Brien Funeral Home, 2028 Hwy. 35, Wall on Monday, March 6, 2017 from 10:30am until a service at 11:30am. Interment of cremated remains will follow at Atlanticview Cemetery, Manasquan.
