Obituary for Evelyn J Freeman (Bondura )

Evelyn J. Freeman, age 81, passed away on Sunday, February 19, 2017 at Shorrock Gardens in Brick. Born and raised in Newark, Evelyn lived in Rahway and South Plainfield before moving to Brick 20 years ago.

When she was younger, Evelyn went to Beauty School and became a beautician. After she met and married her husband she raised her seven children.

Evelyn loved puzzles, flowers, crocheting and especially loved watching her soap operas on television. In the nice weather, she also enjoyed spending time on the boardwalk.

She is predeceased by her brothers, Raymond and John Bondura and her son in law, John Kafka.

Surviving are her beloved husband of 60 years, Robert Freeman; her children, Evelyn Arena and her husband John, Robert Freeman, Jr. and his wife Maria, John Freeman, Linda Guido and her husband Anthony, Kathy Natchuras and her husband Mark, Debbie Kafka and Patty Freeman; her grandchildren, Christopher Dechert, Stephanie and James Lasasso, Christina Freeman, Robert Freeman III, Alyssa Kafka, Robbie Freeman and Stevie Freeman; her two great granddaughters, Kylie and Madyson Freeman.

Visitation will be held on Thursday, February 23, 2017 from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. at O’Brien Funeral Home, 505 Burnt Tavern Rd., Brick. A Funeral Service will be held on Friday, February 24th at 11:00 a.m. at the Funeral Home followed by the interment at St. Mary of the Lake Cemetery, Lakewood.
