Obituary for William Johnson Jr.
William Johnson, 78, of Brick passed away peacefully on Tuesday, March 7, 2017 at the Ocean Medical Center in Brick. Mr. Johnson retired as a manager at W.T. Grant in Brick after 25 years of service to the company as well as GNC in Brick more recently. He proudly served his country in the United States Army from 1961-1963.
Born and raised in Peekskill, NY he has been a Brick resident since 1969.
Surviving is his loving wife of 56 years, Peggyann Johnson; son, William P. Johnson and his wife, Laura Ann of Brick; daughter, Deborah McHale and her husband, Kenneth of Beachwood; sister, Jean Matheus of Poughkeepsie, NY; and 4 grandchildren, Kassia, Kenneth, Connor and Karena.
Visiting will be on Saturday from 2-4 and 7-9pm at the O’Brien Funeral Home, 505 Burnt Tavern Road, Brick. A prayer service and military honors will be offered at 8:30pm in the funeral home. Final interment will be private. Donations may be made in his name to the Michael J. Fox Foundation. Envelopes will be provided at the funeral home.
