Obituary for Luis Antonio Nieves
Luis Antonio Nieves, 51, of Brick Township died peacefully on Friday, March 17, 2017 at home after a long illness. He will be remembered as a loving husband and father, for his zest for life, his love of basketball and his fondness for his colleagues at Monmouth University.
Luis is survived by his beloved wife Laura; his loving children Jonathan, Jeremy, Joseph, Luis Jr. and Adrienne, his loving siblings, Juan, Berto, Olga, Victor, Hilda, Evelyn, Orlando, Jose Nieves and Annie Frazier, and Marguerite Henderson; his mother in law Janet Fell and his father in law John Hakim.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend the visitation on Tuesday, March 21, 2017 from 10:00am until the time of the Funeral Service at 12:00 noon at the O’Brien Funeral Home, 2028 Hwy 35 at New Bedford Rd., Wall. Burial will be in St. Anne’s Cemetery, 1610 Allenwood Rd., Wall.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to either the National Brain Tumor Society, 55 Chapel Street, Suite 200, Newton, MA 02458 or the Fell Philosophy Scholarship at Monmouth University, West Long Branch, NJ. Envelopes will be provided at the funeral home on Tuesday.
