The Memorial Candle Program has been designed to help offset the costs associated with the hosting this Tribute Website in perpetuity. Through the lighting of a memorial candle, your thoughtful gesture will be recorded in the Book of Memories and the proceeds will go directly towards helping ensure that the family and friends of Joan Barros can continue to memorialize, re-visit, interact with each other and enhance this tribute for future generations.

Condolence: Dear Donna and Michelle, Please know that I am thinking of you both and praying for Joan. Your Mom was such a positive and influential force throughout my childhood. She gently guided me through much- glasses cooking, buying a bra, and the challenges of my mother's doctor's appointments, cancer, and death. She was on of the kindest and sweetest woman I have ever known. She was a giver. She thought of others first and always knew just what to say to make one feel special. I loved her smile, her warmth, and happy outlook. She was so proud of both of you girls and loved how close you were to each other. I know you both have a gazillion loving memories to forever hold in your heart--she loved you so. I am so sorry. Sending my love, Patty

Condolence: Dear Donna and Michelle and Families,

I am heartbroken over the loss of your wonderful mother. You know she was like a second mother to me and I have missed her very much due to my driving and health issues. Joan was a big part of my life, from when we were kids till just recently and she brought much sunshine and love to me. I loved talking with her on the phone about politics and our families. We always laughed together. I remember your home in Union, how she and Peg ran the school fairs did Girl Scouts and enhanced our youth by their friendship. She's with your Dad and Peg and all her loved ones now. I loved her very much.
