Obituary for Anthony J. Pipoli

Anthony J. Pipoli, 98, of Wall, passed away peacefully on Sunday, March 26, 2017.
Mr. Pipoli was born and raised in Jersey City. More recently, he lived in Holiday City, Toms River, for 25 years, and since 2008, he and his wife resided at Brandywine Living at Wall. He was an Army veteran of WWII, having served in Africa and Italy. He was employed for many years at American Can Company, Jersey City, retiring as an Inspector and Supervisor. In retirement, he worked as an aide at A. Harry Moore School in Jersey City. While in Jersey City, he was active as a Leader with the Hudson County Boy Scout Council. In Berkeley Township, he served as a Water Commissioner and Township Councilman, and was a member of the Holiday City Homeowners Association, Catholic War Veterans, Ocean County Democratic Club and the Italian-American Club.
Mr. Pipoli is survived by his beloved wife of 74 years, Jean (Fugaro). He is also survived by and his daughters and sons-in-law, Anna Marie and Gregory Campbell, of Raleigh, NC, and Diana and Edward Collins, of Neptune, and his son, Luke Pipoli, of Belmar. Also surviving are his grandchildren, Matthew (Lindsay) and Patrick (Elizabeth) Collins, Christina and Marc Campbell, and Justin Rosciszewski-Pipoli, and his great-grandchildren, Vivian and Rose Collins. Mr. Pipoli is also survived by his sister, Annette LaCourtna, of Livingston. He was predeceased by his brothers, Frank and Daniel Pipoli, and his sister, Martha Zuhowski.
Visitation will take place at O’Brien Funeral Home, 2028 Hwy. 35, Wall, on Thursday, March 30th, from 4-8 PM. The funeral Mass will be celebrated at St. Catharine’s Church, Spring Lake, on Friday, March 31st, at 10:30 AM, followed by burial at St. Joseph’s Cemetery, Toms River. In lieu of flowers, donation in Mr. Pipoli’s memory may be made to:
