Obituary for Joseph M. Gigante

Joseph M. Gigante, 83, of Brick passed away peacefully on Wednesday, April 12, 2017 at his home in Brick. Mr. Gigante was a New York City Bus Operator for the NYC Transit Authority in Brooklyn for many years before retiring in 1986. He was a devout catholic and usher at St. Catherine of Alexandria in Brooklyn, NY, St. Ambrose in Old Bridge and Visitation Church in Brick. He also was a life member of the Knights of Columbus Council # 454 in Brooklyn and a member of the BMT Holy Name Society, Brooklyn, NY.
Mr. Gigante is survived by his loving wife of 62 years, Patricia; three sons, Joseph J and his wife Elizabeth, Peter and James; eight daughters, Patricia Alaimo, Catherine Mackiewicz and her husband, Ron, Anne, Mary Ellen Nicolosi and her husband, Frank, Elizabeth Harrison, Christina McNeice and her husband, James, Diana Griffin and Liana Guzman; 27 grandchildren; and 6 great grandchildren. Visiting will be on Monday from 4-8pm at the O’Brien Funeral Home, 505 Burnt Tavern Road, Brick. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 11am on Tuesday Visitation Church in Brick.
