Condolence: My Uncle Horace was a man that I was in total owe of my whole life. I never really got to know him in my later life but he was definitely made of the stuff legends are made of. A true gentleman and a master of the foil. I wish I could have known him longer

Condolence: I served with Comander Leavitt in 1964 aboard the Growler. I have the highest respect and admiration for him. I pray for his family that remains and that he is basking in the Glory of Jesus Christ. He was indeed a great sailor

Condolence: Dear Joan and family, Joy joins me in offering our deepest sympathy on the loss of Horace. I am glad that we included in our last trip east a visit to the Jersey shore to have lunch with Horace and you at the Black Swan in Spring Lake in 2013. I had the privilege of serving with Horace on USS Hardhead (SS-365) in the late 50's. Horace was the most competent Submarine officer that I knew. And he was a better friend to all.
