Obituary for Jean Marie Pipoli (Fugaro)

Jean Marie  Pipoli (Fugaro)
Jean M. Pipoli, 97, of Wall, passed away on Tuesday, May 9, 2017.
Mrs. Pipoli (nee Fugaro) was born and raised in Jersey City, and graduated from Ferris High School. More recently, she lived in Holiday City, Toms River for 25 years, and since 2008, at Brandywine Living at Wall. In addition to raising her family, Mrs. Pipoli also worked as a School Aide for the Jersey City Board of Education. She also volunteered at Veterans Hospitals, was a member of the Holiday City Homeowners Association Welcome Committee, and a member of the Ocean County Italian-American Club, and Ocean County Democratic Club, which named her Woman of the Year in 2000.
Mrs. Pipoli was predeceased by her beloved husband of 74 years, Anthony J. Pipoli, in March, 2017. She was also predeceased by her siblings, August and Anthony Fugaro, Frances Impalli and Mildred Pipoli. She is survived by her daughters and sons-in-law, Anna Marie and Gregory Campbell, of Raleigh, NC, and Diana and Edward Collins, of Neptune, and her son, Luke Pipoli, of Belmar. She is also survived by her grandchildren, Matthew Collins and his wife, Lindsay, Patrick Collins and his wife Elizabeth, Christina and Marc Campbell, and Justin Pipoli. Also surviving are Mrs. Pipoli’s great-grandchildren, Vivian and Rose Collins.
Visitation will take place at O’Brien Funeral Home, 2028 Hwy. 35, Wall, on Friday, May 12, 2017, from 8:30-10 AM. The funeral Mass will be celebrated at St. Catharine’s Church, Spring Lake, on Friday, at 10:30 AM, followed by burial at St. Joseph’s Cemetery, Toms River. In lieu of flowers, donations in Mrs. Pipoli’s memory may be made to Vitas Healthcare (Hospice), 1040 Broad St., Ste. 301, Shrewsbury, NJ 07702.
