Arnold P.   Berstel
Arnold Berstel, 95 of Spring Lake passed away Thursday, May 18, 2017 at Meridian at Brick .

Born in Newark, Arnold was raised in Nutley, graduating from school and had residing there for most of his life before retiring to the Jersey Shore. He had a lifelong love of music, the theater and was a terrific dancer.

He had been employed as a Chemist for Hoffman LaRoche, Nutley for43 years. He was a proud US Army veteran of World War II serving in both the Atlantic and Pacific Theaters. He was also a member of the VFW Post # 1838, Manasquan.
He was an avid tennis player, playing in several leagues during his job at Hoffman LaRoche and continued to play long after his retirement.

Arnold was predeceased by his parents Philip and Edith VonHirsch Berstel.
He is survived by his brother Harold Berstel of Brick, his nephew Andrew Berstel and wife Patricia and his niece Nancy Catelli and husband John.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend the visitation on Monday, May 22, 2017 from 9:00am until the time of the Funeral Service at 11:00am at the O’Brien Funeral Home, 2028 Hwy 35 at New Bedford Rd., Wall. Burial will be in East Ridgelawn Cemetery, Clifton.
