Through the lighting of a memorial candle, your thoughtful gesture will be recorded in the Book of Memories and the proceeds will go directly towards helping ensure that the family and friends of Eleanore Serwin can continue to memorialize, re-visit, interact with each other and enhance this tribute for future generations.

Eleanore M.  Serwin (Zukaukas)
Eleanore M. Serwin 92, of Lakewood, formerly of Elizabeth passed away peacefully Thursday, June 15, 2017 surrounded by her family’s love. Born in PA, Eleanore came to Elizabeth as a small child and resided there until 2012. She was a member of the Blessed Sacrament Church and was very active in the Senior Club.
She was the wife of Andrew Serwin, who passed away in 1990. She is survived by her brother, Ed Zack and Sandy of Maryland, her children; Andrew Serwin and wife Kathleen of East Stroudsburg, PA, Deborah Silva and husband Edward of Brick and Elaine Lake and husband Gary of Carlisle, OH. She is also survived by 5 grandchildren, Edward and Denise Silva of Brick, Andrew and Elizabeth Serwin of Mahwah, Daniel Silva of Brick, Damien Byrne of Pleasantville, Nicole and Robert Craven of Roaring Brook Twp., PA, and 7 great grandchildren; Daniel, Danielle, Ryan, Jacob, Ryan, Phoebe and Violet. She also leaves 1 great great grandchild Tegan and nieces and nephews of the Kalinowski, Zachary and Zack families.
Visiting will be Saturday, from 1-5 PM at the O’Brien Funeral Home, 505 Burnt Tavern Rd., at Rt. 70, Brick, NJ. A Funeral Service will be Monday, 10 AM at the funeral home, followed by burial in Forest Green Park Cemetery, Marlboro. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in her name to Alzheimer’s Association, Greater NJ, 3 Eves Dr #310, Marlton, NJ 08053 or to Hearing Loss Association of America, 7910 Woodmont Ave., Suite 1200, Bethesda, MD 20814.
