William Robert Simons, 56, known as “Rob” to his family and friends, passed away on Friday, June 16, 2017, at his home in Normandy Beach.
Rob was born and raised in California. He was an alumnus of the University of California, Berkeley. He was a Health Economist and Consultant, with Sciformix Corp. He was an avid surfer. He was also a devout Catholic, and had served as an usher at the former Our Lady of Peace Church in Normandy Beach. But above all, he was a devoted husband and father.
Rob is survived by his wife of 20 years, Ellen (nee Kearns) Simons, and their son, Ryan Simons. He will also be missed by his Wheaten Terrier, Sparky.
There will be no visitation. A funeral Mass will be celebrated at St. Peter’s Church, 406 Forman Avenue, Point Pleasant Beach, on Wednesday, June 21, 2017, at 11 AM.
