Charles A. Sylvester Jr., 60 of Neptune City and formerly of Wall Township passed away on Saturday, June 24, 2017 at Jersey Shore Medical Center, Neptune.
Charlie was born in Neptune and was a graduate of Wall Twp. High School in the class of 1975. He had resided in Wall Township for many years before moving to Neptune City 30 years ago. He was employed as a Cabling Foreman for TTI Wireless of Sayreville.
He was an actively involved member of the Shark River Beach and Yacht Club, Neptune. Charlie enjoyed hunting, fishing, golfing, skiing, coaching, cooking and being with family and friends.
He was predeceased by his parents Charles A. and Patricia Paduana Sylvester Sr.
Charles is survived by his devoted wife of 33 years and best friend Gail Tango Sylvester, his beloved sons whom he was so proud of, Daniel C. Sylvester and Cara Bella, and Taylor C. Sylvester and wife Ronni, all of San Diego, California, his sister Anne Orlando, brother Joseph and wife Mercedes, step-mother Betty Sylvester, mother in-law Rosemary Tango, in-laws Barbara Alexander, Alan & Betsy, Karen, Jon & Sandra and Chris & Dina Tango and many nieces and nephews.
The visitation will be on Thursday from 1:00pm to 5:00pm at the O’Brien Funeral Home, 2028 Hwy. 35 at New Bedford Rd., Wall. In keeping with Charlie’s laid-back lifestyle his family requests “casual summer attire”. The family also requests that you bring a photo that encaptures a favorite memory of Charlie.
