Obituary for James A. "Jimmy" Renna

James A. (“Jimmy”) Renna, 64, of Little River, SC passed away peacefully at home on June 6, 2017. He was a graduate of Livingston High School and received certification from the GM School of Technology. He was co-owner and operator of A&L Renna Brothers in East Orange. He lived in NJ for many years until retiring to Youngsville, NC and finally settling in Little River, SC. He loved NASCAR, the Dallas Cowboys and the NY Yankees. He was very proud of his time spent coaching his daughter in North Wall Little League.
He was predeceased by his parents, Anthony & Gloria Renna, and his sister, Barbara Byrne.
He is survived by his wife of 28 years, Virginia, his son, James Renna (Winston-Salem, NC), his daughters, Michele Tyler (Raleigh, NC), Jillian Bell (Brick, NJ), and Sara Renna (Johns Island, SC) and seven grandchildren. Also surviving are his siblings, Patti Chronic, Lynda Cohen, Larry Renna, Mary Beth Rutledge, Susan Gallagher, and Jayne Leddy, as well as many in-laws, nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends on Saturday, July 29, 2017 from 2:00pm until the time of the Memorial Service at 3:00PM at the O’Brien Funeral Home, 2028 Hwy. 35, Wall, NJ 07719. Committal will be private at the convenience of the family.
