Donald J. Crecca of Sea Girt, died on June 30th at his home with his family by his side. Born and raised in Glen Ridge, he graduated from Lehigh University and Rutgers Law School. A trial attorney, he began his career as a public defender and assistant prosecutor in Essex County. Donald continued practicing law in New Jersey throughout his career.
Donald is survived by his wife Anne of Sea Girt and their two daughters. Lee and husband Cesar Bastidas and their children Caitlin, Hailey and Alexander of Chatham, NJ. He is also survived by daughter Elizabeth, her husband Dean Schoonover and their children Ingrid and Lars of Interlaken, NJ. After raising his family in North Caldwell, NJ, Donald moved to his beloved Jersey Shore 11 years ago.
A Mass celebrating Donald’s life will be held at St. Catharine’s R.C. Church, 215 Essex Ave.,Spring Lake, NJ 07762 on Monday, July 10th at 10:30am.
We would like to give a very special thank you to all of Don’s ladies from Visiting Angels.
In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made in Donald’s memory to: Meridian Hospice North, 1340A Campus Parkway Neptune, NJ 07753
