Gregory L. Forca, 65, of Spring Lake, New Jersey passed away peacefully in his home on Saturday, July 1, 2017, surrounded by his loving family. He is survived by his devoted wife, Eileen Forca. He will be greatly missed by his children Jodi Jacolow and Gregory Forca Jr., admiring grandchildren Michael and Stella Jacolow, and son-in-law Steven Jacolow.
Greg was born in Brooklyn, New York. The son of Thomas Forca and Helen Amari, and brother of deceased Thomas Forca. He spent his first 25 years in Brooklyn, then moved to New Jersey and resided in Toms River and Brick Township before settling in Spring Lake with plans to relocate to Tampa, Florida after retirement. He owned and operated Federal Cleaning Contractors, a commercial window cleaning company, for 40 years.
Greg was truly “larger than life” as many of his family and friends would describe him, lighting up every room he walked into. His sense of humor & personality will be remembered for generations, and so will his vivacious determination to go through life with a smile. His passions ranged from horse racing and fishing, to cooking and enjoying time on the beach. Preparing meals for his family and spending time with the love of his life Eileen became some of his most cherished moments.
His grandchildren are so grateful for the countless games of hide and seek, crabbing and fishing, and his delicious meals.
Greg will be sorely missed by many.
There will be a Celebration of His Life held on Monday, July 10th, from 5:30pm to 8:00pm, at The Breakers, 1507 Ocean Avenue, Spring Lake.
To honor Greg in New Jersey, in lieu of flowers, donations are being accepted to Warriors for Warriors - Their annual Shark Tournament held locally raises money for US Navy Seals, local veterans and local fisherman raising money for charities that support combat warrior veterans. His love of fishing and sharks along with his respect for our military seemed an ideal fit to honor his name.

To honor Greg in Tampa, donations will be accepted in Gregory Forca’s honor to Starting Right Now, an organization dear to Jodi’s heart geared to ending homelessness for youth while providing a stable home, employment, mentoring and teaching life skills – it is Jodi’s goal to set up an annual scholarship in his name with the funds.
