Obituary for Wynne Murchison

Wynne Murchison passed peacefully on July 22, where he resided Preferred Care At Wall in Allenwood, NJ at the age of 81.
Wynne is survived by his sister Roberta Murchison, Albany NY; his children, John Murchison, Ventura, CA; Daniel Murchison, VA; Thomas Murchison, Silver Spring, MD; JoAnne Jeffries, Neptune City, NJ; Nancy Murphy Chatham, MA; and Laura Murchison, Wall, NJ; eight grandchildren and two great grandchildren.
He is preceded in death by his Father Gerald Murchison Indianapolis, IN; Mother, Aubrey Wynne Murchison, Dallas TX; Brother, Gerald Murchison Port Washington, NY; Step Mother, Teresa Maisano Murchison, Springfield, NJ.
Wynne was born on May 2, 1936 in Orange, NJ to Gerald and Aubrey Murchison. Wynne graduated from University of Virginia in 1957 where he was member of Pi Kappa Alpha fraternity. He served in the Army Signal Corp at Fort Monmouth, NJ. Married Judith Negley in 1958, they moved to Syracuse NY, where Wynne began working for American Yearbook Company in Sales. He then worked for Jostens Inc., and moved to Lincroft, NJ. The couple raised their six children on Majestic Ave., living in Lincroft for many years. Wynne was an active and dedicated volunteer for Lincroft First Aid Squad.
Wynne later remarried and lived in South Lake Tahoe, CA before returning to New Jersey to be closer to his children and grandchildren. He enjoyed telling stories and never forgot anyone’s name or birthday!
