Maria Mateus DeOliveira 87 of Iselin, NJ died Monday, July 24, 2017 at JFK Medical Center, Edison, NJ. Born in Lis Bon, Portugal, Maria lived in Newark, NJ and Union County before moving in with her daughter in Iselin. She was a seamstress in Newark for many years. She was a parishioner of Our Lady of Fatima Church, Newark, NJ. Maria’s greatest joy in life was her family and the time she spent with them was cherished. She loved being a mother, grandmother and great-grandmother.
Maria was predeceased by her husband Antonio DeOliveira in 1991. Surviving are her children; Joseph DeOliveira and his wife Nancy of Rumson, NJ, Amalia Monteiro and her husband Jeraldo of Iselin, NJ, 5 grandchildren; Adrian, David, Mark, Brian, Susana, and 5 great grandchildren; Ashley, Lucas, Robert, Joseph and Kathryn.
Visiting will be Saturday, July 29, 2017 from 12-3 pm at the O’Brien Funeral Home, 2028 Hwy 35 at New Bedford Rd., Wall. A Funeral Service will be at 2:30 PM at the funeral home. Committal will be private.
