Obituary for Ethel Mae Luzzi

Ethel Mae  Luzzi
Ethel Mae Luzzi, 80, of Spring Lake Heights, passed away on Friday, August 11, 2017, at home, surrounded by family and friends. She fought a brave fight with ALS which ultimately took her life. Ethel was born in Jersey City and moved to Point Pleasant where she lived until she graduated from Point Pleasant High School. While working at Camp Evans she met her husband, Ed. They married in 1955, and moved to Spring Lake Heights where they raised their family.
Ethel was a active member of Wall United Methodist Church for over 55 years. She enjoyed volunteering within Spring Lake Heights at various activities.
Ethel, along with her husband, had several antique shops in Point Pleasant, Red Bank and Farmingdale for over 40 years. They would spend countless hours together while antiquing.

Ethel was predeceased by her husband Edward Luzzi, and her parents Harry and Anna Rhoades.

Ethel is survived by her three children- Edward Luzzi, Jr. of Shrewsbury, Lynn Luzzi of Sonoma, CA, and Steve Luzzi and his wife Maggie of Spring Lake; her beloved grandkids Ella, Chloe and Jack; and her brother Harry Rhoades and sister-in-law Alice of Toms River.

Visitation will be at O'Brien Funeral Home, 2028 Hwy. 35 at New Bedford Rd., Wall, on Tuesday, August 15, 2017, from 3-7 PM. The funeral service will be held at Wall United Methodist Church, Spring Lake Heights, on Wednesday, August 16, 2017, at 11 AM, followed by burial in the Church cemetery.
