Obituary for Stanley A. Tomeski

Stanley A. Tomeski, 88, of Sea Girt, passed away on Wednesday, August 9, 2017.

Mr. Tomeski was born and raised in Jersey City. He was a resident of Palisades Park for many years, and also lived in Florida, before moving to Sea Girt 40 years ago. He was an Army veteran of the Korean War. He devoted many years of his life to the care of his mother, and was aslo a caring brother, uncle, and great-uncle.

Mr. Tomeski was predeceased by his parents, Stanley and Catherine (Lipinski) Tomeski, his brother, Edward Tomeski, his sister, Kathleen Broderick, and two nephews, John S. and Peter G. Broderick. He is survived by his sister-in-law, Aurea R. Tomeski, M.D., his nephews, Thomas E. Broderick and wife Diane, Mark S. Broderick and wife Maureen, and Luke J. Broderick and wife Nancy, Barbara, widow of Peter G. Broderick, and his niece, Aurea Tomeski. He is also survived by his great-nephews, John and wife Christine, Brandon, Esq., and wife Francesca, Ryan and wife Nathalia, Matthew, Daniel, and his great-nieces, Meghan, Christine, Caitlin, Heather, Julie and Elizabeth Broderick, as well as by his great-great-nephews and nieces, Aidan, Colin, Kyle, Evan, Stella, Penelope, Keira, Clara and Kaylee Broderick.

There will be no visitation. Family and friends are invited to attend the funeral Mass, at St. Mark’s Church, Sea Girt, on Friday, August 18, 2017, at 9:30 A.M., followed by burial, with military honors, at Mt. Carmel Cemetery, Tenafly.
