Obituary for Nicoletta Margaret Schmidt (Vitollo)

Nicoletta Margaret Schmidt (nee Vitollo), 91, of Brick passed away peacefully on Saturday, September 16, 2017 at the Ocean Medical Center in Brick. Mrs. Schmidt was a loving mother, grandmother and great grandmother. She loved to travel, spend time with her family and express her creative and artistic side through her paintings.
Born and raised in Newark she lived in North Caldwell for over 30 years before moving to Brick in 1988.
She was predeceased by her husband, Bernard Schmidt in 1991; brother, Vincent Vitollo; and sisters, Margaret Giancaspro and Mary Tavano. Surviving are her sons, Joseph Schmidt and his wife, Deborah of Wichita, KS, Robert Schmidt and his husband, Henrique of Dorchester, MA and David Schmidt of New Jersey; daughter, Roseann Kiesnowski and her husband, Chris of Brick; sister, Rose Kluxen and her husband, Donald of Toms River; 6 grandchildren, Jason and his wife, Elizabeth, Jennifer, Daniel and his wife, Betsy, Matthew, Aaron and Charles; as well as 3 great grandchildren, Eleanor, Harrison and Henry. Visiting will be on Wednesday from 4-8pm at the O’Brien Funeral Home, 505 Burnt Tavern Road, Brick. A prayer service will be held 10am on Thursday in the funeral home. Entombment will follow at Ocean County Memorial Park, Toms River. In lieu of flowers, please consider a donation in her name to a charity of your choice.
