Obituary for Beverly Ann Peters

Beverly Ann  Peters
Beverly Bowman Peters, 80, of Wall Township (Sea Girt), passed on Saturday, September 23, 2017. She was born September 2, 1937, to Dorothy and Robert Bowman and raised in Budd Lake. Beverly graduated Netcong High School in 1955. Beverly’s grandfather brought her to Bloomfield where she worked in the National Newark and Essex Bank. Beverly met George Peters and married on August 25, 1956. During the 24 years they lived in Bloomfield, Beverly participated in the Republican Club in Bloomfield. They moved to Neptune, Parlin, Edison, Belmar and South Belmar (Lake Como). Beverly retired in 2004 as a secretary for AT&T in Piscataway and Middletown. Beverly joined the Republicans in Belmar in 1995. Beverly was an avid bowler who bowled on a league at Sea Girt Lanes. Beverly was also a food chairperson for the March of Dimes in Monmouth County.

Beverly was predeceased by her beloved husband of 52 years George Peters and her parents, Dorothy & Robert Bowman. She is survived by a sister, Dorothy Spohr Baker; brothers: Richard, Allen and Kenneth Bowman. Beverly has four children, Shari Wiedecker, Dr. George R. and Kim Peters, Scott A. and Debbie Peters and Lori and Lenny Benzilio; six granddaughters and three grandsons, Tyler and wife Jamie, Morgan, Samantha, Alyssa, Taylor, Trixie, Gabi, Reilly and Dakoda; and two great grandchildren, Reagan and Carter.

Visitation will take place at O'Brien Funeral Home, 2028 Highway 35 at New Bedford Road, Wall, on Thursday, September 28, 2017, from 3-8 PM, with a service at 8 PM. For those who wish, in lieu of flowers, donations may be made to March of Dimes, 5 Cedar Brook Drive, Cranbury, NJ 08512.
