The Memorial Candle Program has been designed to help offset the costs associated with the hosting this Tribute Website in perpetuity. Through the lighting of a memorial candle, your thoughtful gesture will be recorded in the Book of Memories and the proceeds will go directly towards helping ensure that the family and friends of Brett Hansen can continue to memorialize, re-visit, interact with each other and enhance this tribute for future generations.

Thank you.

Condolence From: Debbie Kidder
Condolence: I placed this on another site and wanted to be sure the family would see it.
Brett was an exceptional young man. I can say this because of his friendship with my son Shandon. Shandon got the pleasure of meeting him when Brett was at WVU. They hit it off immediately. They text daily, talked often, talking/texting several times when WVU played, and played games online weekly, Brett was that once in lifetime friend to Shandon. The one that knows just what you are thinking and what to say to you, the one you can talk to daily and never tire of it. I believe Brett knew how much Shandon cared about him. I have prayed for the last ten months for Brett and I know that he is with God and we will see him again. He fought the good fight. We all wish for one more day, one more time to say I love you, one more time to say I care. I do not pretend to know your pain, or even Shandon's pain as I have never lost a friend so close or a child, or brother, I do know that the one thing I will continue to do for you is to continue to pray. May God in heaven comfort you send Angels your way to wipe the tears away.

Condolence From: Elton Family
Condolence: My family and I would like to express our deepest sympathy over the loss of Brett.
May you find comfort in your loving memories and the warmth of family and friends. A scripture that has uplifted many who have experienced such a loss, is found at Revelation 21:4. There it describes a time when death and pain will be gone forever. We will even see our loved ones again who we have lost in death (John 5:28 & 29). It is our hope that these words bring you a measure of comfort during this difficult time as well. Once again, please accept our condolences as you deal with your loss.
