Obituary for Donald Andrew Wintjen
Donald Andrew Wintjen, 85, formerly of Whiting passed away peacefully on Saturday, October 14, 2017 at the Leisure Park Assisted Living Facility in Lakewood. Mr. Wintjen worked many years at the Ford Motor Company in Newark in the Export Division before retiring in 1985. He proudly served his country in the US Air Force during the Korean Conflict from 1950-1953.
Born in Jersey City he grew up in North Bergen and lived in Florida, and back to Jersey City before moving to the Whiting section of Manchester Twp.
Surviving are his loving wife of 40 years, Doris ( Gilewski) Wintjen; sons, Michael and his wife, Barbara of Voorhees, Mark and his wife, Maria of Hazlet; daughters, Sharon Monzo and her husband, Wayne of Hazlet; Marissa Koch and her husband, Michael of Point Pleasant and Stacey Napoli and her husband, Steve of Brick; grandchildren, Michael and his wife, Gina, Brian and his wife, Jade, Laura and her husband, Larry, Christopher, James, Nicolas, Jonathan, Austin, Griffin and Alanah and her husband, Will; great grandchildren, Colton, Vivian, Scarlet, Lorelai, Brooks and Hudson.
