James Joseph Starr, age 70, passed away on Thursday, October 19, 2017 at his home in Brick. Born in Boston, MA, James was raised in Braintree, MA and has resided in Brick for the past 41 years.
Mr. Starr served in the United States Air Force during Vietnam.

James was an avid fisherman and New England Patriots and Bruins fan, but his greatest joy was spending time with his loving family.

James is predeceased by his father, James Joseph Starr, who passed away during his childhood and his mother and father Ruth and Alfred Coleman.

Surviving are his beloved wife, Dolores Starr; his children, James Joseph Starr and his wife Meghan, Darlene Blake and her husband Albert and Christine Sutter and her husband Allan; his brothers, William and Paul Coleman; his sisters Elaine Buckley and Diane Starr; his four grandchildren, Evan and Ryan Sutter and Olivia and James Starr.

Visitation will be held on Sunday, October 22, 2017 from 2-6 p.m. at O’Brien Funeral Home, 505 Burnt Tavern Rd., Brick. A Funeral Mass will be held on Monday, October 23rd at 11:00 a.m. at St. Martha’s RC Church, Point Pleasant followed by the interment at St. Anne’s Cemetery, Wall.
