Through the lighting of a memorial candle, your thoughtful gesture will be recorded in the Book of Memories and the proceeds will go directly towards helping ensure that the family and friends of Frank Berardi can continue to memorialize, re-visit, interact with each other and enhance this tribute for future generations.

Obituary for Frank L. Berardi

Frank L.  Berardi
Frank L. Berardi, 89, of Brick passed away peacefully on Sunday, October 29, 2017 at his home surrounded by the love of his family. Born in Newark, Frank joined the US Navy in 1946 at the age of seventeen. Upon his return in 1948, he met and married his beloved wife, Mildred Salerno. They began their family, and Frank went to work as a Meat Cutter, progressing to a Meat Department Manager of several food stores before retiring many years ago. Losing both his parents at an early age, Frank knew the value of family and made sure to cherish his. He was patient, kind and a loving person. He will be dearly missed.
Frank was predeceased by his parents, Arcangelo and Loreta Berardi and by all of his siblings. Surviving are his loving wife of 66 years, Mildred (Salerno) Berardi; five children, Steven F. Berardi and his wife, Lauren of East Hanover, Maria Douglas and her husband, Jack of Brick, Lori DiGregorio and her husband, John of Brick, Frank Berardi and his wife, Patricia of Brick, and Jackie Mikuski and her husband, Shawn of Brick; twelve grandchildren, Dana Berardi, Nicholas Berardi, Michele Marotta and her husband, Michael, David Lewis, Jack Douglas III, John DiGregorio III and his wife Amanda, Matthew Berardi and his wife, Pamela, Alex Berardi, Ryan Berardi, Hailey Berardi, Frank Mikuski, and Erika Mikuski; as well as eight great grandchildren.
Visiting will be on Thursday from 4-8pm at the O'Brien Funeral Home, 505 Burnt Tavern Road, Brick. A Funeral Mass will be offered 10am on Friday at St. Dominic's RC Church, Brick. Entombment will follow at St. Joseph's Cemetery, Toms River. Donations may be made in his name to St. Jude's Children's Research Foundation.
