Obituary for Vincent Tavernese Jr.

Vincent  Tavernese Jr.
Vincent Tavernese, Jr., 58, of Point Pleasant formerly of Lakewood passed away peacefully on November 10, 2017 at the Beth Israel Medical Center in Newark. Mr. Tavernese was a supervisor at UNEX Manufacturing in Lakewood. Vincent was a graduate of Lakewood High School. He loved to hunt and fish. Vincent enjoyed spending time outdoors. He was a reserved man, family orientated, hard-working and a man of few words with simple needs. He enjoyed listening to the Grateful Dead. He loved his two daughters and spending time with family and friends.
Born and raised in Brooklyn, he lived in Lakewood for most of his life before moving to Point Pleasant 9 years ago.
Mr. Tavernese was predeceased by his parents, Vincent Tavernese Sr. and Rose Tavernese; sister, Roseanne Varian; and brother, Peter Tavernese. Surviving is his wife of 29 years, Marianne Tavernese; daughters, Valerie Rose Tavernese of North Brunswick and Annette Marie Tavernese of Indianapolis, IN; brothers and sisters, Janice Rapp and her husband, James, of Jackson, John Tavernese and his wife, Tracy of Bayville, Paul Tavernese of Point Pleasant, and Maria Steinmetz and her husband, Willie of Point Pleasant. He also leaves his nieces and nephews, Laura, Trinity, Makana and Jovin.
Visiting will be on Wednesday from 4-8pm at the O’Brien Funeral Home, Brick. A Mass of Christian Burial will be offered on Thursday 9:30am at St. Martha’s RC Church, Point Pleasant. Burial will be at St. Mary’s of the Lake Cemetery, Lakewood.
