Obituary for Earl Manson Jr.

Earl Manson Jr.
Earl Manson Jr., age 53 of Brick, passed away peacefully in his sleep on Nov 18, 2017 at Ocean Medical Center surrounded by his family and friends. Earl was diagnosed with ALS earlier this year and put up a good fight and through it all he always managed to smile and keep his awesome sense of humor and quick wit. He is finally at peace and went out the way he wanted, on his terms. He was a kind and generous man with a heart of gold and would give you the shirt off his back. He will truly be missed.

Earl was a graduate of Brick Memorial High School and worked as a Blackjack dealer and then Manager for Showboat Casino from 1993 until its closing. Before his illness he was employed at Sugar House Casino in Philadelphia. He was an avid Jets fan and loved to play golf which he missed the most.

Earl was predeceased by his father Earl Manson Sr. and his mother Sandy Everson.

He is survived by his sisters, Denise Claffey, Tracey Baxter and her husband Steve of Brick, Penny Struble and her husband Craig of Wall, and his brother Robert Manson and his wife Karen of Brick. He is also survived by many wonderful friends, Aunts, Uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews.

In lieu of flowers please donate in his name to the local ALS organization, Joan Dancey (PALS) Foundation, Riverview Medical Center, P.O. Box 8157, Red Bank, NJ 07701.

A Memorial Visitation will be held on Friday, November 24, 2017 from 4-8 p.m. at O’Brien Funeral Home, 505 Burnt Tavern Rd., Brick with a service being held at 7:30 p.m. Cremation was private.
