The Memorial Candle Program has been designed to help offset the costs associated with the hosting this Tribute Website in perpetuity. Through the lighting of a memorial candle, your thoughtful gesture will be recorded in the Book of Memories and the proceeds will go directly towards helping ensure that the family and friends of John Scherzer can continue to memorialize, re-visit, interact with each other and enhance this tribute for future generations.

Condolence: I wanted to leave my sincere condolences and some encouraging thoughts with the family; Losing our loved ones in death is very distressing. But how comforting it is to know that Jehovah, the God of all comfort, will eliminate all grief and provide permanent consolation when “all those in the memorial tombs will hear [Christ’s] voice and come out”! (John 5:28, 29) God promises that “he will do away with death forever, and the Sovereign Lord Jehovah will wipe away the tears from all faces.” (Isa. 25:8) Then, instead of having to weep with those who weep, all earth’s inhabitants will rejoice with those who rejoice. May the family find comfort in the loving and fond memories of John.

Condolence: To the entire Scherzer family, I am so very sorry to hear of the passing of Jack. He was a great man and I have fond memories of fishing with him. May you be comforted knowing he is now at peace. May God rest his soul and God bless you all during this most difficult time.

Condolence: So sorry to hear this news last night, my sincere condolences to the entire Scherzer family. Jack was the rock of the family. He always greeted Eric's friends with a firm handshake and a sarcastic wit. Once you got past the seemingly gruff exterior, you found a warm, funny and nice man who always welcomed us into his homes. He will be missed! RIP Jack.
