Obituary for Frances F. Sauchelli (Cannestro)

Frances F. (Cannestro) Sauchelli, 80, of Toms River formerly of Cedar Grove passed away peacefully on Saturday, November 25, 2017 at her home surrounded by her loving family. Mrs. Sauchelli worked as a supervisor in the Alzheimer Unit of the West Caldwell Care Center for many years before retiring in 2012. She was a former member of St. Rose of Lima RC Church in Newark and a communicant of St. Dominic’s RC Church in Brick. Most of all, she loved spending time with her family and friends. She will be deeply missed.
She was predeceased by her parents, Peter and Jennifer Cannestro; and by her brother, Anthony Cannestro. Surviving is her loving husband of 63 years, Thomas A. Sauchelli; son, Carmine Sauchelli and his wife, Milca of Bayville; daughters, Pamela Kern-Savoia and her husband, Mark of Toms River and Lisa Pecoriello and her husband, Bernard of Little Falls; brother, Pete Cannestro and his wife, Ann Marie (whom she considered an actual sister after all these years) of Jackson; 8 grandchildren, Luccia, Joseph, Fiora, Danielle, C.J., Stephen, Caleb and Elena; 5 great grandchildren, Anthony, Vincent, Louis, Chase and Autumn; as well as an expectant great granddaughter on the way.
A memorial visitation will be held on Wednesday from 12 -4 pm at the O’Brien Funeral Home 505 Burnt Tavern Road, Brick. A prayer service will be conducted at 2:30pm in the funeral home. Final interment will be private. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in her name to the American Cancer Society.
