Condolences

Condolence From: Jim Donnelly
Condolence: Bob had a gentle, unassuming, kind demeanor. He was positive, friendly, other-centered. For example, Bob approached me at RHS (I'm a teacher) to say that he remembered my family from years ago in Ridgewood; he also related memories when he was a referee and I a HS player. Bob Lynch was such a gentleman, obviously a wonderful family man. God bless his family, especially his wife. Bob's legacy shines through all those children and grandchildren. Maybe most striking was, after speaking with Bob, he left one with a feeling of warm goodwill, humility.

Condolence: I am so saddened to hear of Mr. Lynch's passing. He was my 6th grade teacher at Demarest in Bloomfield and definitely one of my favorites. He was so dedicated to all his students and 6th grade was so special because of him. I was so pleased to hear that he stayed in education for so many years, as I know so many students definitely benefited from having him in their lives. My deepest condolences to Mr. Lynch's family. You will all be in my thoughts and prayers.

Condolence: I was privileged to work with Bob as an Equitable client. We immediately bonded over discussions regarding sports and coaching. Bob came to my home to speak with my wife and me when we first signed on and always took an interest in what was happening in my personal and professional life. He was the consummate gentleman and will be missed.

Condolence: My deepest sympathies for your family's loss. Mr. Lynch will always be fondly remembered in Old Tappan for his dedication to the students, as well as for his generosity and kind spirit. I have the good fortune to still be a resident of OT, and I spend a lot of time in the "Lynch Gym" at Charles DeWolf Middle School, which was dedicated in his honor years ago. (Class of 1982)

Condolence: Dear Ellen & family - Bob Lynch was one of the best friends I ever had or ever will have. He not only helped steer me down the right path in life by helping me in many many ways not only on the football field, but more importantly, off the field. Many of my fellow referee friends are also indebted to Bob for the things he did to make their lives a success. I will forever be indebted to Bob. He truly fit the bill of a gentleman and a scholar. I will love the guy forever! In closing, I would like to add the only people that did not like Bob Lynch were people that never met him. My sincerest condolences to the entire family. Keep the faith. Love, Dave Brody & Rose

Condolence From: Tom Cleeland
Condolence: I worked for Bob for several years as a basketball official when he was the assignor for Bergen County schools. Although I only met him a few times we spoke often and he talked about his love of sports, his long time tenure in the Old Tappan school system and always mentioned his family. He will be sorely missed by everyone who knew him. My condolences to his family. Tom Cleeland
