Lucia A. Keane, 77, of Sea Girt, passed away on Tuesday, December 12, 2017.
Mrs. Keane was born in Brooklyn and grew up in Mt. Vernon, N.Y. She raised her family in Armonk, N.Y. before moving to Sea Girt 27 years ago. She earned an MSW Degree at Fordham University. She was an owner of Sunnyside Manor in Wall, NJ, and worked there as a LCSW until her retirement. She was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother.
Mrs. Keane was predeceased by her parents, John H. and Tommasina Marchesi. She is survived by her beloved husband of 56 years, John, and their children John Keane, Jr., Kathleen Lindenthal and MaryEllen Keane-Nuttall. She was the beloved grandmother of Kaitlin, John III and Kevin Keane; John, Aileen and Annie Lindenthal; and John, Lucia and Nicholas Donadio. Also surviving are Mrs. Keane’s brothers, John H. Marchesi, Jr. and Vincent T. Marchesi, MD, as well as nephews, nieces and numerous friends.
Visitation will take place at O’Brien Funeral Home, 2028 Hwy. 35, Wall, on Monday, December 18, 2017, from 4-8 P.M. The funeral Mass will be celebrated at St. Catharine’s Church, Spring Lake, on Tuesday, December 19, 2017, at 10:30 A.M., followed by burial at St. Anne Cemetery, Wall.
