Obituary for Peter John Kalibat

Peter  John   Kalibat
Peter John Kalibat, age 83 passed away on Wednesday, December 13, 2017 at Ocean Medical Center in Brick. Born and raised in the Ironbound Section of Newark, Peter most recently has resided in Greenbriar Woodlands in Toms River.

Peter was a graduate of East Side High School in Newark and then went on to study Pharmacy at PCPS, where he was the captain of the basketball teams. Mr. Kalibat was a Pharmacist and co-owner of Kalibat’s Pharmacy in Newark for many years.

Mr. Kalibat was an avid golf and tennis player and was very active in the Greenbriar Woodlands Golf and Tennis Clubs.

He is predeceased by his beloved wife, Lorraine in 2004.

Surviving are his children; Nancy McNutt and her husband Rob, Peter John Kalibat and his wife Rebecca and Mary Beth Manno and her husband Joe; his grandchildren, Kristiana, Natalie, Peter Jr., Grace and Alayna.

Viewing will be held on Sunday, December 17, 2017 from 1-4 p.m. at O’Brien Funeral Home, 505 Burnt Tavern Rd., Brick. A Funeral Mass will be held on Monday, December 18th at 10:30 a.m. at St. Luke’s RC Church in Toms River, followed by the interment at Holy Cross Cemetery, North Arlington.

In lieu of flowers memorial contributions can be made to The Convent of Divine Love, 2212 Green Street, Philadelphia, PA 19130.
