Obituary for Kiki H Vavoulis (Athas )
Kiki H. Vavoulis, age 90 passed away on Friday, December 15, 2017 at Laurelton Village in Brick. Born in Cleveland, OH, Kiki was raised in New York and then moved to Westfield, NJ where she lived for many years before moving to Brick where she has most recently resided.
Mrs. Vavoulis was a member of the American Legion in Westfield. Her greatest joy was spending time with her family.
She is predeceased by her beloved husband, George in 2011, her son Michael Akins, her granddaughter Lauren Nicole Akins and her sister Helen Bonaros.
Surviving are her children; James George Vavoulis of Phoenix, AZ, Katherine Smith and her husband Robert of South Plainfield, Steven Vavoulis and his wife Kathleen Triman of Lancaster, PA; her grandchildren, Jeffrey and his wife Kimberly, Jennifer Smith and Luke Akins and his wife Lauren; her great granddaughter, Elena Rose Akins.
Viewing will be held on Saturday, December 23, 2017 from 2-5 p.m. with a service being held at 4:00p.m. at O’Brien Funeral Home, 505 Burnt Tavern Rd., Brick. Interment will be private.
Memorial contributions can be made to St. Jude’s Children’s Research Hospital.
