The Memorial Candle Program has been designed to help offset the costs associated with the hosting this Tribute Website in perpetuity. Through the lighting of a memorial candle, your thoughtful gesture will be recorded in the Book of Memories and the proceeds will go directly towards helping ensure that the family and friends of Jack White can continue to memorialize, re-visit, interact with each other and enhance this tribute for future generations.

Obituary for Jack Russell White

Jack Russell  White
Jack Russell White, age 77, passed away on Wednesday, December 27, 2017 at his home in Lakewood. Born in Terra Alta, WV, Jack grew up in Cumberland, MD and was a lifelong Point Pleasant Beach resident, most recently residing in Brick and Lakewood.
Mr. White attended Potomac State College in MD and was a graduate of Shepherd College, WV. He went on to become a Physical Education Teacher for the Point Pleasant Beach Board of Education for 27 years before his retirement in 1995.
Jack played football when he attended Shepherd College and Potomac State. He is a former scout for the Indianapolis Colts. Jack’s passion was coaching football, soccer and basketball at Point Pleasant Beach HS and Elementary.
Jack was a member of the BPOE Elks Lodge in Point Pleasant Beach and Manasquan. He enjoyed flying small aircrafts and especially loved playing golf.
Surviving are his beloved wife of 27 years Debra A. White; his sons, Jason R. White of Point Pleasant Beach and Russell John White of Lakewood; his daughters, Joyce White Lyons (Cormac) formerly of Point Pleasant Beach and Jacquelyn White formerly of Point Pleasant Beach; his brother, Ronald White of Tampa, FL and his three grandchildren, Lola, Liam and Yaw.
Viewing will be held on Tuesday, January 2, 2018 from 3-7pm with a 6:30pm service at O’Brien Funeral Home, 505 Burnt Tavern Rd., Brick. Cremation is private.
In lieu of flowers memorial contributions can be made to the Michael J. Fox Foundation for Parkinson’s Research, The Michael J. Fox Foundation, P.O. Box 5014, Hagerstown, MD 21741-5014.
