Obituary for Theodore J. "Ted" Zeller

Theodore J. "Ted"  Zeller
Theodore J. Zeller, 94, of Sea Girt, passed away on Saturday, December 30, 2017, at his home.
Mr. Zeller, known as Ted, was born and raised in Plainfield. He lived in Watchung before moving to Sea Girt many years ago. He served in the Navy during WW II, before completing his engineering education, earning his Bachelor’s Degree at Stevens Institute of Technology, and his Master’s Degree at New York University. He founded Tri-State Pump & Equipment Co., which he operated for over 30 years.
Mr. Zeller was predeceased by his parents, John Theodore and Margaret (Quinn) Zeller, and by his siblings, Edmund Zeller, Marguerite Warburton, Pauline McWade, and Mary Wilson. He is survived by numerous nephews, nieces, great-nephews, and great-nieces. He is also survived by his loving caregiver, Mickey O'Connor.
Pursuant to his wishes, Mr. Zeller has been cremated. There will be a memorial visitation at St. Mark’s Church, Sea Girt, on Saturday, January 6, 2018, from 8:30-9:30 A.M., followed by a funeral Mass at 9:30 A.M. Thereafter, Mr. Zeller’s cremated remains will be buried at Hillside Cemetery, 1401 Woodland Avenue, Scotch Plains, at 11:45 A.M. In lieu of flowers, donations in Ted’s memory may be made to St. Mark’s Church, Social Concerns, 215 Crescent Parkway, Sea Girt, NJ 08750. Condolences may be sent via www.obrienfuneralhome.com.
