Obituary for Mary Margaret Travers

Mary Margaret  Travers
Mary Margaret Travers, 91, of Brick passed away peacefully on January 17, 2018 at the Meridian Nursing and Rehab in Brick. Ms. Travers worked for many years as an insurance claims adjuster at Crum & Forester Inc. in Basking Ridge before retiring in 1988. She was a member of the Greenbriar Service Club and the Red Hats Women’s Club of Brick. She also enjoyed volunteering at St. Dominic’s RC Church but most of all she loved her family especially spending time with her nieces and nephews, grand nieces and nephews and their children as well as her niece’s dog, Zoey.
Ms. Travers was predeceased by her parents, James and Gertrude Travers; and brother, James Travers in 2000 and his wife Jane Travers in 1986. Surviving are her nephews, James Travers and his wife, Victoria of Flushing, NY, Richard Travers and his wife, Carol Horn of Lakewood, and Peter Travers and his wife, Denise of Sayreville; nieces, Ellen Witham and her husband, Daniel of Brick, Nancy Triozzi and her husband, Pete of Marlboro and Mary Jane O’Doherty and her husband, Dominic of Brick; great nieces and nephews, Matthew, Marissa, Kevin, Kelly (Stan), Cathryn (Michael), Ryan (Melissa), Shannon, Cory (Kim), Kayla (Bruno), Bryan (Sheri), Janelle (Kory), Paul (Stephanie), Nick, Kirstin (William), Kelsey (Shaun), Michael, Fiona and Eric; as well as their children, the 18 great great nieces and nephews.
Visiting will be on Friday from 4-8pm at the O’Brien Funeral Home, Brick. A Mass of Christian Burial will be offered 9am on Saturday at St. Dominic’s RC Church, Brick. Burial will follow at Holy Cross Burial Park, Cranbury. Donations may be made to a catholic charity of choice.
