Obituary for Robert T. Freeman
Robert T. Freeman 75 of Neptune died Thursday, January 18, 2018 at home with his wife. He loved his family, fishing and gardening. Bob had many lifelong friends. He was a quiet man who led through his example and enjoyed the simple pleasures of life. He worked with the US Postal Service in Port Monmouth, NJ until his retirement.
Robert was predeceased by his parents, Catherine and Joseph Freeman, his brother William Freeman and his grandson Nicholas Chesnut. Surviving are his loving wife of 58 years Joan O’Toole Freeman, children; Cath and Bill Chesnut, Joseph Freeman, Trish and John Hamm, Michael Freeman, grandchildren; Ian and Bin Lu Chesnut, James and Mercedes Chesnut, Brian Freeman, Michael Freeman, Caity and Sergio Cortes, great grandchildren, Olivia Chesnut, Kai Chesnut, Alex Cortes. He also leaves his siblings, Joseph and Stephanie Freeman, Edward and Maureen Freeman and Elizabeth (Pie) and Ray Sullins.
A memorial service will take place at a later date to be announced. Committal will be private. O’Brien Funeral Home, Wall is in charge of arrangements, www.obrienfuneralhome.com.
