The Memorial Candle Program has been designed to help offset the costs associated with the hosting this Tribute Website in perpetuity. Through the lighting of a memorial candle, your thoughtful gesture will be recorded in the Book of Memories and the proceeds will go directly towards helping ensure that the family and friends of Bruce Boyle can continue to memorialize, re-visit, interact with each other and enhance this tribute for future generations.

Condolence From: Terry Rey
Condolence: Just yesterday did the deeply saddening news of Mr. Boyle’s recent passing reach me, and I extend my heartfelt condolences to his entire family and many friends. Though I never knew him personally, I have been blessed to have surfed with Mr. Boyle’s children over the years – decades, actually – and to count them as friends. Their inspirational sense of humanity and their infectious love for the sea and for family bespeak a wonderful father. May his soul rest in peace, and may he continue to find joy in seeing his grandchildren now paddle out in Sea Girt and thereby carry on his spirit, flowing across life’s glorious waves with the same grace and style of their parents and ancestors. I pray that God console us in our grief and bless us in our celebration of this remarkable man’s life and legacy.

Requiescat in pace

Condolence: I heard about Bruce's passing away last night and am saddened by the news. From the moment I met Bruce at the National Arts Club (of all things) shooting pool in 1999, it was obvious what a special person Bruce was, as are Florence and the rest of the family.

Although he has left us, Bruce had a truly wonderful life and made such a strong and positive impact on so many others, including myself. I can't think about Bruce without smiling about so many moments of which he was a major part.

I am on traveling on a plane Thursday (trip previously booked), but I will be there in spirit and thinking about a truly special person I am so fortunate to have known.

Condolence: Florence, Patrick, Shayne, Darian, Bruce and Michaela - I'm so saddened by Bruce's passing. Bruce was a huge influence on me and he is responsible for some of the most fun and exhilarating days of my life. The man was truly larger than life and the sailors absolutely worshipped him. As long as his tribe keeps pushing the limits of their abilities, his legacy will stay alive. And Florence, thanks for putting up with us and sharing Bruce with us. With love, Rob

Condolence: Im so sad to hear of your loss, Bruce was a Prince among Men the epitome of a true Gentleman. I know that there are no words to comfort you at this time but remember......When you are sorrowful look again in your heart, and you shall see that in truth you are weeping for that which has been your delight. ~Kahlil Gibran

Eternal rest be granted unto him, Oh Lord , and let perpetual light shine upon him. May his soul and all the souls of the faithful departed, through the mercy of God, rest in peace. Amen.

Requiem æternam dona ei, Domine. Et lux perpetua luceat ei. Requiescat in pace.
