Through the lighting of a memorial candle, your thoughtful gesture will be recorded in the Book of Memories and the proceeds will go directly towards helping ensure that the family and friends of Robert Chenard can continue to memorialize, re-visit, interact with each other and enhance this tribute for future generations.

Robert Napoleon  Chenard
Robert N. Chenard, 75, of Brick, N.J. passed away peacefully on Friday evening, February 2, 2018 at Community Medical Center in Toms River, N.J. Robert installed communications equipment in N.J. for 34 years before retiring in 2006. He loved spending time with his family and traveling. He adored the ocean and took frequent cruises to the Caribbean.
Robert was born in Dover, N.H. and moved to N.J. at the age of 16. He resided in Fords, N.J. for 34 years before moving to Brick in 2009.
Robert was predeceased by his father, Napoleon Chenard and mother, Aurore Caron and her husband, Phillip Caron, his step-father. Surviving are his loving wife of 43 years, Karen (Bridges) Chenard; his children, Lisa P. Burdziak and Thomas Vonderhaar of Fords, N.J., Robert Chenard Jr. and Jessica Mercado of Highland Park, Beau and Melissa Chenard of Brick, Jeffrey and Kaiti Chenard of Sanford, N.C. and Jessica and Tom Adams of Bridgewater, N.J.; and 10 grandchildren, Cassandra, Ana, Danny, Tyler, Ali, Christopher, Bella, Rory, Steven, and Caitlin. He also will be missed by his beloved cats: Oscar, Felix, Spike, and Lilly.
Visiting will be on Saturday, February 10, 2018 from 11am-3pm at the O’Brien Funeral Home, 505 Burnt Tavern Road, Brick. A prayer service will be offered at 3pm in the funeral home.
