Through the lighting of a memorial candle, your thoughtful gesture will be recorded in the Book of Memories and the proceeds will go directly towards helping ensure that the family and friends of Vincent Karpeles can continue to memorialize, re-visit, interact with each other and enhance this tribute for future generations.

Vincent J.   Karpeles
Vincent J. Karpeles, 80, of Brick, NJ formerly of Staten Island, NY passed away peacefully on Thursday, February 8, 2018 at Ocean Medical Center in Brick. Mr. Karpeles retired in 2008 as a licensed custom home broker with GIF Services Inc. in Linden. He proudly served his country as Sgt. in the US Army Reserves. He was a founding member of The Big Kahuna Golf Club in Staten Island and a member of the Greenbriar Golf Club in Brick. He was a communicant of St. Dominic’s RC Church in Brick, enjoyed playing cards at the Greenbriar Clubhouse and was a friend of Bill W. Most of all, he was a loving husband, dedicated father and devoted grandfather.
Born, raised and lived most of his life in Staten Island, NY he moved to Brick 16 years ago.
Mr. Karpeles was predeceased by his parents, Frank and Valentine Karpeles; brothers, William Karpeles and Franklin “Tuffy” Karpeles; and by his sisters, Anna Eith, Frances DiMarco and Muriel Karpeles. Surviving are his loving wife of 57 years, Marie (Sinibaldi) Karpeles; daughters, Barbara Lynne Martini and her husband, Richard of Manalapan, Kim Karpeles-Johnstone and her husband, John of Manasquan and Christine Roesch and her husband, Robert of Middletown; brother, Frank Karpeles of Nevada; 5 grandchildren, Lindsey, Andrew and Jack Roesch and Raymond and Nicholas Martini; many nieces and nephews; and his beloved grand dogs, Danny and Hogan (Golden Retrievers) and Charlie and Sherry (Black Labradors).
Visiting will be on Sunday from 2-4pm and Monday from 2-4 and 7-9pm at the O’Brien Funeral Home, 505 Burnt Tavern Toad, Brick. A Mass of Christian Burial will be offered on Tuesday 10am at St. Dominic’s RC Church, Brick. Burial will follow at Greenwood Cemetery, Brielle. Donations may be made in his name to Guiding Eyes for the Blind, 611 Granite Springs Road, Yorktown Hgts., NY 10598.
