Obituary for Olga G. Giammetta (Giametta)
Olga G. Giammetta, 94, of Spring Lake Heights, passed away on Monday, February 19, 2018.
Miss Giammetta was born and raised in East Orange and had resided in Spring Lake Heights since 1955. She worked as an accountant at The Homestead Restaurant, Spring Lake Heights, for many years prior to retiring. She loved animals, especially cats, and enjoyed bowling, tennis and volleyball. She was loved by all who knew her and will be sorely missed.
Miss Giammetta was predeceased by her parents, Leonard and Novella (Nanni) Giammetta, as well as by her siblings, Louis Giammetta and Carmen V. Owens. She was also predeceased by two nephews, Matthew P. Owens and Leonard Giammetta. She is survived by her nephews and nieces, James Owens, Dennis and Rosemarie Owens, Andrew Owens, Jonathan and Christine Owens, Lisa Troccoli and Ted Hall, and Nancy Suriani and Robert Reymers, Tina Giammetta. Also surviving are numerous grand-nieces and grand-nephews.
Visitation will take place at O’Brien Funeral Home, 2028 Hwy. 35, Wall, on Wednesday, February 21, 2018, from 11:30 AM- 1:30 PM, with a funeral service at 1:30 PM. Burial will follow at St. Catharine’s Cemetery, Wall. In lieu of flowers, donations in Miss Giammetta’s memory may be made to Monmouth County SPCA, 260 Wall Street, Eatontown, NJ 07724.
