Joseph C.  Henehan
Joseph C. Henehan, 59, of Neptune, passed away on Saturday, March 24, 2018.
Joe was born and raised in Jersey City, where he graduated from Hudson Catholic High School. He then lived in Belmar for many years before moving to Neptune in 2005. He enjoyed watching basketball, especially the North Carolina Tar Heels, and had coached basketball in the Belmar Recreation League. He was employed in the sanitation industry for many years, with Hudson Jersey Sanitation in Jersey City, and Marpal, DeLisa and Sakoutis Sanitation, where he worked most recently until becoming ill.
Joe was predeceased by his father, Raymond Henehan, and by his son, Joseph Charles Calton, in 2008. He is survived by his beloved wife, Janet (Harris) Henehan, and his children, Arthur Calton and his fiancé Belle, S. Plainfield, Tiffany Stancati and her husband Jason, Long Branch, Colleen Calton and Raafi Saunders, Belmar, Jessica Jalalon, Neptune, and Janet Calton and fiancé Michael Repsha, Spring Lake Heights. Also surviving are Joe’s mother, Kathleen Henehan, of Whiting, his brother, Raymond Henehan, of Manchester, his sister, Rosemary Viglone, of Toms River, his grandchildren, Miles Calton, Mila Saunders, and Jayden Jalalon, nephews and nieces, and many friends.
Visitation will take place at O’Brien Funeral Home, 505 Burnt Tavern Road, Brick, on Tuesday, March 27, 2018, from 2-4 and 7-9 PM. The funeral Mass will be celebrated at St. Rose Church, Belmar, on Wednesday, March 28th, at 9 AM. Private cremation will follow, In lieu of flowers, donations in Joe’s memory may be made to Belmar Recreation Department, 601 Main St., Belmar, NJ 07719.
