Through the lighting of a memorial candle, your thoughtful gesture will be recorded in the Book of Memories and the proceeds will go directly towards helping ensure that the family and friends of Maryanne O'Rourke can continue to memorialize, re-visit, interact with each other and enhance this tribute for future generations.

Maryanne E. O’Rourke, age 69, passed away on March 28th at her home in Point Pleasant with her family by her side. Born in Jersey City, Maryanne grew up in Rumson and has resided in Point Pleasant since 1982. Maryanne started her career in Point Pleasant Beach as Administrative Assistant to the Construction Official. She worked for the Borough of Point Pleasant for 25 years and retired as the Deputy Municipal Clerk. She volunteered her time to the Ocean Fire Company Lady’s Auxiliary in Point Pleasant Beach. She enjoyed shopping, going on cruises and her greatest joy was spending time with her family & friends.

Maryanne was predeceased by her parents Marie L. and William A. Smith of Rumson.

She is survived by her beloved husband Vincent M. O’Rourke Sr., her children Michele and Robert Haugh, Kelley Jean and Russell Mickle, David Carroll and William Carroll; her step children Vincent and Christine O’Rourke, Kelly and Brian Morton and Kathleen and Jack Miller; her grandchildren Alison and Dan Drzymkowski, Justin Haugh and his fiancé Allison Foster, Megan Haugh, Sean Haugh, Emily Mickle, Matthew and Alex Morton, Ryan and Tyler O’Rourke, Jack and Corey Miller and great grandson Lincoln Drzymkowski along with many nieces and nephews. Maryanne is also survived by her siblings Donna and Dave Barr, Kathy and Glen Hendricks and William and Denise Smith.

Viewing will be held on Tuesday, April 3, 2018 from 4-8 p.m. at O’Brien Funeral Home, 505 Burnt Tavern Rd, Brick, NJ 08724. A Funeral Mass will be held on Wednesday, April 4th at 11:00 a.m. at St. Peter’s RC Church, Point Pleasant.
