Obituary for Maryann Henry (Weiss)
Maryann Henry, 83, of Spring Lake, passed away on Wednesday, March 28, 2018, at her home.
Mrs. Henry (nee Weiss) was born and raised in Newark. She also lived in Point Pleasant before moving to Spring Lake 40 years ago. She was a homemaker, enjoyed playing golf at the Spring Lake Golf Club, and was a very charitable person. Above all else, she was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and aunt.
Mrs. Henry was predeceased by her parents, Frank and Susan Weiss, and by her siblings, Theresa Suell, Peggy Hotz, and Anne, Helen, Urban, John and Frank Weiss. In 2015, her beloved husband of 59 years, Philip J. Henry, passed away. She is survived by her children and their spouses, Patrick and Michele Henry, Point Pleasant, Timothy and Laura Henry, Middletown, Maureen Henry, Spring Lake, and Bryan and Coleen Henry, Neponsit, N.Y. Also surviving are her beloved grandchildren, Kaleigh, Liam, Bryan, Kiera, Erin, Brendan, Sean and Colin Henry, and several nieces and nephews.
Visitation will take place at O’Brien Funeral Home, 2028 Hwy. 35, Wall, on Monday, April 2, 2018, from 2-4 and 7-9 P.M. The funeral Mass will be celebrated at St. Catharine’s Church, Spring Lake, on Tuesday, April 3, 2018, at 9 A.M. Burial will follow at St. Catharine’s Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations in Mrs. Henry’s memory may be made to Little Sisters of the Poor, at www.littlesistersofthepoor.org.
