Obituary for Lorenzo Citro

Lorenzo Citro, 84, of Allaire Country Club Estates, Wall Township and formerly of Manalapan and Old Bridge passed away Sunday, April 8, 2018 at his home surrounded by his loving family.
Lorenzo was born in Cava Dei Tirreni, Italy and came to the United States as a young man. He had been employed as a pattern maker for many companies and at the time of his retirement he was working for Novello & Bloom, New York.
He and his wife were Communicants of St. Margaret’s Church, Spring Lake and were longtime members of the Atlantic Club, Wall.
He was predeceased by his parents Carlo and Filomenna (nee Salandra) Citro and his two sisters Maria and Flora Citro.
Lorenzo is survived by his devoted wife of 55 years Geraldine (nee Voza) Citro, and his two sons and their spouses Charles and Roseann Citro of Robbinsville, and Lawrence and Sheryl of Milltown, his five granddaughters Samantha, Olivia, Francesca, Alexis, and Caroline Citro, and his 2 sisters Pina and Rita Citro, both of Italy.
Visitation will be on Thursday from 2-4pm and 7-9pm at the O’Brien Funeral Home, 2028 Hwy 35 at New Bedford Rd., Wall followed by a Mass of Christian Burial on Friday, April 13, 2018 at 10:30am at St. Margaret’s Church, Corner of 3rd and Ludlow Aves., Spring Lake. Burial will be in St. Rose of Lima Cemetery, Freehold Twp.
In lieu of flowers the family requests donations be made to the American Lung Association, National Direct Response Headquarters, 1200 Hosford Street, Suite 101,Hudson, WI 54016-9316.
